Spring is in the air! Which means it’s time to be outside in the woods sitting around the bonfire and make bread on a stick. Personally, I love eating them with blackcurrant jam. Especially if it’s homemade (https://sweetchamomilla.com/recipes/blackcurrant-jam/).
TIP: If there is any dough left, it can be used to make pita bread: Simply make the dough into balls the size of ping-pong balls. Roll the dough flat. Bake in the oven at 180*C for 15-20 minutes.

Bread On A Stick
Ingredients
- 5 dl water
- 50 g fresh yeast
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp rosemary dried
- 750 g flour
Instructions
- Crumble the yeast into a bowl, pour over the water and whisk until the yeast has dissolved
- Pour the oil into the bowl
- Mix salt, flour, and rosemary in a separate bowl
- Pour the flour into the water and stir until you have a dough
- Knead the dough on the a kitchen counter dusted with flour. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky
- Return the dough to the bowl and let it rise overnight in the refrigerator or for 1 hour on the kitchen counter
- The dough is ready to make the bread: Take a piece of dough, roll it into a long sausage and twist it around the end of a branch where the bark has been scraped off with a knife. Bake over the fire
