Basic recipe on hummus. Super delicious for the breakfast table on crisp bread. Personally, I often don’t have tahini in my kitchen and my experience is that it can easily be omitted without significantly affecting the taste.
Hummus
Ingredients
- 100 g dried chickpeas (or 200 g canned chickpeas)
- 1-2 clove garlic
- 2½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp peber
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp tahin (can be omitted)
- Juice from ¼ lemon
- 1 dl water
Instructions
- If using dry chickpeas: Soak chickpeas in water the day before
- Drain the chickpeas of water
- Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend until the hummus is uniform
- Season with salt and the other spices to your liking
