Easy, quick, delicious flutes with garlic butter, perfect if you want to impress at the barbecue.
Grandma’s vegan flutes with garlic butter
Ingredients
Flutes
- 3 dl water
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 500 g flour
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or vegan heavy whipping cream
Garlic butter
- 4 cloves of garlic
- ½ tsp salt
- 100 g vegan butter at room temperature
- 2 tbsp parsley fresh
Instructions

- Mix water and yeast in a bowl and whisk until the yeast has dissolved
- Add flour, oil and salt and mix well
- Put the dough on a floured table and knead the dough till it is airy and not too sticky
- Put the dough back in the bowl and place a dishcloth over it. Then let the dough rise for about 1 hour
- Roll out the dough into 2 oblong loaves
- Place the loaves on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them rise for approx. 45 min
- Make two diagonal cuts in each loaf and brush them with oil or cream
- Bake the loaves in the oven at 225℃ for 20 minutes until they are golden brown
Garlic butter
- Chop the parsley finely
- Whisk/mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
- Refrigerate the butter for a few hours before serving
