Grandma's vegan flutes with garlic butter

Ingredients
  

Flutes

  • 3 dl water
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or vegan heavy whipping cream

Garlic butter

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 100 g vegan butter at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp parsley fresh

Instructions
 

Flutes

  • Mix water and yeast in a bowl and whisk until the yeast has dissolved
  • Add flour, oil and salt and mix well
  • Put the dough on a floured table and knead the dough till it is airy and not too sticky
  • Put the dough back in the bowl and place a dishcloth over it. Then let the dough rise for about 1 hour
  • Roll out the dough into 2 oblong loaves
  • Place the loaves on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them rise for approx. 45 min
  • Make two diagonal cuts in each loaf and brush them with oil or cream
  • Bake the loaves in the oven at 225℃ for 20 minutes until they are golden brown

Garlic butter

  • Chop the parsley finely
  • Whisk/mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
  • Refrigerate the butter for a few hours before serving
