Delicious burger buns perfect for pulled jackfruit (aka the vegan version of pulled pork), coleslaw and some fries or a light summer salad!
There is good amount of garlic and rosemary in these buns, which gives them a little more flavor than regular buns. Warning: The kitchen may smell a bit of garlic afterwards.
Garlic Burger Buns
Ingredients
- 4 dl milk plant based
- 50 g fresh yeast
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 dl yoghurt naturel
- 4 tbsp dried rosemary
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 kg flour
- 50 g sesame seeds
Instructions
- Mix the milk and the yeast in a bowl and whisk until the yeast has dissolved
- Mix in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the yoghurt and rosemary
- Chop the garlic until fine or use a garlic press
- Mix the garlic into the milk
- Mix the flour and salt together in a separate bowl
- Pour the flour in the bowl with milk and mix together till even
- Knead the dough well on the table dusted with flour
- Put the dough back in the bowl and cover with a kitchen towel
- Let the dough rise for 45 min – 1 hour
- Roll 15 buns, put them on baking paper and press them flat
- Brush the buns with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds
- Put plastic foil over the buns and let them rise for 30 minutes
- Bake the buns in the oven at 190℃ for 15-20 min
