Chai latte

Servings 3 glasses

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cinnamon sticks (about 10 g)
  • ¾ tsp cloves (amounts to 15 cloves)
  • 2 tsp cardamom seeds (about 6 g)
  • 3 peppercorns
  • 5 g fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp black tea leaves (about 6 g)
  • ½ dl water
  • 5 dl oatmilk (or normal milk)
  • 1 dl foamable oatmilk cream (or coffee creamer)
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder Optional

Instructions
 

  • Crush the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and pepper in a mortar
  • Cut the ginger into smaller pieces
  • Mix the spices from the mortar, the ginger, the black tea leaves, the water in a saucepan
  • Add enough oatmilk to cover the spices in the saucepan competly
  • Cook the chai latte in the sauce pan for about 10 min
  • Add the rest of the oatmilk and cook till warm
  • Pour the chai latte through a strainer and into three glasses
  • Pour the cream in a bowl and skim the milk
  • Pour the cream on top of the chai late in the glasses
  • Optional: Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on top of the drink before serving
