Avoid rinsing the lilacs, as this removes some of the flavor
Boil water and sugar in a small saucepan until the sugar has dissolved
Remove the stem from the lilacs and put it in the sugar water
Squeeze lemon juice from the lemon and grate the zest of half of the lemon
Add lemon juice and lemon zest to the sugar water and stir well
Put the lid on the saucepan and put it in the fridge for the next 2-3 days
Strain the juice through a strainer to remove the lilacs and lemon zest and pour the juice into a bottle
